London’s greatest workout = Project Awesome

Stumbling across Project Awesome a couple of months ago was one of the best discoveries I have made since living in London. My friend Sophie mentioned it to me and on a whim I thought I would give it ago, thinking it would probably be the first and last time I went. I try out a lot of different classes/fitness activities in London. A lot of them I check out and never return to and a few of them I enjoy and maybe go back to once or twice. The first Project Awesome I went to was on the 6th of july and I have pretty much been back every week since then…

Yes it is exercise and yes you have to wake up at 5:30 but it is so so worth it.

Travel: BERLIN

Berlin is effortlessly cool and always delivers. Visiting the city for the second time a couple of weeks ago I was reminded of that amazing energy which runs through the cities bars, parks, clubs and cafes.

My current fitness routine

Being active and working out comes pretty easy to me, this may sound strange to some people out there, but honestly I just love moving my body and always have done. Okay, so obviously I do have my off days where I just want to sit and eat a whole pack of oreos but they are pretty rare.

From the age of four I was attending my local baby ballet, at primary school I had joined every athletic club going, and at home my sister and I would create obstacle courses around our garden pretty much every weekend.

There is something about being physical in whatever context, that has always made me feel good. Times have slightly changed and now my fitness routine is more organized; even though I wish my sister and I could still run around our garden to get fit and healthy bodies.

Cornish Cliff Run

Everyone has a happy place, where you go and everything seems to slow down. All of your thoughts, worries and self doubts no longer seem to matter and you walk around with the biggest smile on your face for no reason at all.

For me that is Cornwall, I love its rugged cliffs, surf, beaches and its old english quirks.

One of my favourite things to do in Cornwall is to take to the costal paths for runs and long hikes. I wanted to share one of my running spots with you guys…

 

My Cornish Cliff Run

Beginning and ending in the old fishing and mining village of Portreath and running a circular route of 4.43 miles (7.1 km). It is hilly and hard work but the views and scenery make this by far my favourite run in England.

The Park Run

Park Runs are now all over England, they are free weekly 5K runs which can be just for fun or used to help motivate fitness. All you have to do is register and turn up.
