Rhubarb Bircher

Rhubarb believe it or not is a vegetable, somewhere along the way it has just been treated like a fruit and I love it! I love its tartness, its britishness and for me it takes me instantly back to my childhood, when my granddad would make his homemade rhubarb crumble.

Rhubarb is a great add on for lots of dishes, it makes amazing deserts and one of my favourite things to make is a rhubarb Bakewell tart (YUMMY). However last week I went to a Native Highs Yoga and brunch event and we had the most delicious breakfast from Dust Granola. It was bircher, cacao granola and you guessed it a rhubarb compote!! It was so delicious and such a great breakfast combination that it totally inspired me to give it ago and make my own rhubarb bircher at home.

Taking full advantage of the fact that my mum has a garden full of rhubarb I came up with this ridiculously tasty and healthy bircher recipe.

The yummiest vegan chocolate brownies

Sometimes in life you need a chocolate brownie. Here I am to deliver you the best vegan chocolate brownies you have ever had. They are deliciously gooey, deviously chocolatey and 100% dairy free, gluten free and wonderfully sweetened with natural ingredients.

The best thing about them is you can not tell they aren’t normal brownies. They are even better!

Healthy banana and chocolate ice cream

I SCREAM WE SCREAM WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM.

Who said you can’t have dessert for breakfast!?

Well with this ice cream bowl you can have all the yummies of a dessert, eat it at 9.00am and feel completely guilt free…

This healthy take on ice cream is so incredibly smooth, creamy and chocolatey that you would never know it wasn’t the real deal. Apart from everything is wonderfully natural, it’s free of unnatural sugars, processed ingredients, animal products and chemicals so it will leave you feeling energised and glowing from the inside out. Instead of getting a massive sugar rush and crashing 10 minutes later!

This is one of my favourite breakfasts, it is fantastically sweet, creamy and delicious!

It is honestly heaven in a bowl and even if you don’t like bananas, don’t worry, for some reason (maybe the freezing) it doesn’t have that banana taste!

It is super easy to make and you only need four ingredients…

Bircher Breakfast

This is a delicious, healthy breakfast that can be prepared the night before so there is no fuss in the morning!

When time is not on my side I make this super quick bircher the night before. It takes less than five minutes to throw together in the evening and then you can just grab it and go in the morning.

Plus it is incredibly yummy.
