Are you needing more greens in your life but just don’t know how to get them?! We all know the amazing benefits of plants! However sometimes it can be tricky to get as much as we would like into our diet.

By making this spinach and edamame hummus at home you know you are getting all of that goodness and nourishment without having to eat a plate of kale for lunch.

This hummus takes less that 10 minutes to make and is so delicious that you could serve it at a dinner party and people would ask for the recipe…

Travel: BUDAPEST

My big sister just turned 26. For her birthday I bought her flights to go to Budapest. The summer had just come to an end in London and it seemed like the perfect time to go explore and find a bit of sun before winter truly came.

I love Budapest. The backdrop of the Buda hills, the dramatic river Danube running through the city and the beautiful architecture make it incredibly pretty. The chain bridges give the city a romantic vibe and the Jewish district brings rich history into the streets. It was my second time to the city and all the love I had felt the first time I visited came flooding back. Not to mention Budapest is also super fun, filled with ruin bars, more than 100 thermal baths and lots of sights to see, plus it is really cheap! What is not to love…

Here are some photographs of our weekend in Budapest. At the end you will find a list of the places I would recommend (bars, baths, sights etc.) if you are thinking about taking a trip to this amazing city.

London’s greatest workout = Project Awesome

Stumbling across Project Awesome a couple of months ago was one of the best discoveries I have made since living in London. My friend Sophie mentioned it to me and on a whim I thought I would give it ago, thinking it would probably be the first and last time I went. I try out a lot of different classes/fitness activities in London. A lot of them I check out and never return to and a few of them I enjoy and maybe go back to once or twice. The first Project Awesome I went to was on the 6th of july and I have pretty much been back every week since then…

Yes it is exercise and yes you have to wake up at 5:30 but it is so so worth it.

The five a day Soup

Vegetables are good for us + plants are power! The nutrients found in vegetables are vital for a healthy body and can even reduce our risk of chronic disease. This is probably not new news to most of us. However it can sometimes be difficult to get in those five recommended vegetables a day and all of the nutrients we need.

I am very conscious of what I put into my body, making sure I am nourishing it in order for it to stay healthy and energised. When it reaches dinner time and I feel like a need that extra bit of veg in my life I will make this soup!

It is delicious, hearty, contains your five a day and is very easy to make…

Travel: BERLIN

Berlin is effortlessly cool and always delivers. Visiting the city for the second time a couple of weeks ago I was reminded of that amazing energy which runs through the cities bars, parks, clubs and cafes.

Taking a few days away from my London teaching schedule I met my boyfriend in Berlin for a few days of fun…

Rhubarb Bircher

Rhubarb believe it or not is a vegetable, somewhere along the way it has just been treated like a fruit and I love it! I love its tartness, its britishness and for me it takes me instantly back to my childhood, when my granddad would make his homemade rhubarb crumble.

Rhubarb is a great add on for lots of dishes, it makes amazing deserts and one of my favourite things to make is a rhubarb Bakewell tart (YUMMY). However last week I went to a Native Highs Yoga and brunch event and we had the most delicious breakfast from Dust Granola. It was bircher, cacao granola and you guessed it a rhubarb compote!! It was so delicious and such a great breakfast combination that it totally inspired me to give it ago and make my own rhubarb bircher at home.

Taking full advantage of the fact that my mum has a garden full of rhubarb I came up with this ridiculously tasty and healthy bircher recipe.
