Healthy banana and chocolate ice cream

I SCREAM WE SCREAM WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM.

Who said you can’t have dessert for breakfast!?

Well with this ice cream bowl you can have all the yummies of a dessert, eat it at 9.00am and feel completely guilt free…

This healthy take on ice cream is so incredibly smooth, creamy and chocolatey that you would never know it wasn’t the real deal. Apart from everything is wonderfully natural, it’s free of unnatural sugars, processed ingredients, animal products and chemicals so it will leave you feeling energised and glowing from the inside out. Instead of getting a massive sugar rush and crashing 10 minutes later!

This is one of my favourite breakfasts, it is fantastically sweet, creamy and delicious!

It is honestly heaven in a bowl and even if you don’t like bananas, don’t worry, for some reason (maybe the freezing) it doesn’t have that banana taste!

It is super easy to make and you only need four ingredients…

This makes 2 portions.

You will need:

2 bananas (frozen)

1 tablespoon coco powder

1 tablespoon maple syrup

3/4 tablespoon peanut butter

Of course the toppings are completely up to you, I love to mix it up every time I have it but I would recommend all of the below:

Desiccated coconut

Mango

Raspberries

Chia seeds

Strawberries

Passionfruit

Blueberries

Basically any berries or fruit you at have home will work great as a topping!

You could also use any type of nut butter in this recipe and instead of using maple syrup honey is just as tasty.

I especially like the crunchy peanut type!

First things first you need to chop up your bananas and freeze them overnight! Make sure you chop them up and do not put them in with the skin on.

Then in the morning all you need to do is throw them in the processor with the coco powder, peanut butter and maple syrup!

Blitz until everything is nicely combined and you have reached an ice cream type consistency.

Then scoop out the deliciousness in to a bowl and top the ice cream with any delightful fruity goodness you have available.

I love adding coconut to mine because I am in love with anything coconut. Chia seeds add nutritional value and the fruit gives it a fresh and tasty kick.

Sit back and enjoy the best breakfast you will ever eat…

Honestly, it is THAT good!!!

Obviously this would be a great dessert, perhaps lunch as well, or even just an afternoon snack.

Basically I could eat this for three meals a day.

I hope you like it just as much as I do.
